All employers with workers aged between 22 years and pension age will have to set up and contribute to a pension scheme by February 2018. Employers will have to automatically enrol employees who earn above £833 per month and meet the age criteria.
CRCC’s Capacity Building team recently facilitated an information seminar on pensions and auto enrolment and a presentation was given by AEReady to ensure voluntary and community organisations were aware of their obligations when it comes to pension schemes.
The event was well attended, with some key points including, what’s happening, what employers have to do and who they will need to enrol.
The team thanked everyone for attending and AEReady for providing key information on the day. An attendee said,
“I found it really useful and it really illustrated that we can’t bury our heads in the sand when it comes to pensions.”
